Preliminary work: The growing Tulip

I had a lot of different ideas for my preliminary. 

Ideas:

• A water drop falling into a body of water and the ripple it creates 

• A ball bouncing but make it interesting and entreating 

• A kite flying through the sky 

But in the end I landed on a flower growing out of a seed. I started off with drawing a story board and planning out key points of the animation. After that I made the illustrations with Procreate of the seed, small flower, growing flower, fully grown flower and withered flower. 

And I was able to just import the illustrations from Procreate to Procreate dreams. After setting up the background and the key frames properly I started animating the in-betwen-frames. I have also considered looping the animation to round it out more.
